ANNUAL DEBATE COMPETITION

The Annual Debate Competition of Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly was held on 4th October, 2025 at Junior School Auditorium. The debate commenced at 12.45 pm. The debate competition was aimed to enhance critical thinking, communication, and argumentation skills while fostering intellectual curiosity, tolerance, and confidence. The topic for the debate was “Who Rules the Throne of Power: the Orient or the Occident? The topic sparked great enthusiasm among the debaters. Students from various classes participated, presenting well researched and thought- provoking arguments for both for and against the motion. The questions raised by the audience was challenging. The event was judged by, Fr Kattrukudiyil Feric SDB, the Dean of Don Bosco College of Philosophy, Aluva, Fr Prince Puthenangady, the Vice Rector, Mrs. Mini K L and Mrs. Anjana A Nair. Ms Esther Rose Tomy of Class XI was declared as the BEST SPEAKER. The motion that supported the orient won the debate. The winners were rewarded by the chief Judge of the event Fr. Kattrukudiyil Ferric SDB. He congratulated all the participants for their commendable performance. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Sonia Joseph.
