Bosco Cup 2024 - Interschool Football Tournament at Angamaly

7th December, 2024 Saturday, was a great day in the history of Don Bosco Central School as the school witnessed the first ever inter school Football tournament at Don Bosco Central School Ground. This mega tournament which was named BOSCO CUP 2024 was inaugurated by the Rector& Manager, Rev. Fr. Joseph Elavanal. In the spirit of sportsmanship, he flagged off the official ceremony by kicking the ball. Fr. Jilson Erikkattu Vice-Principal and the main Organiser of the match welcomed the six participating Schools. The first exciting game took place between Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly vs Nagle School, Kanjoor. Our school won the match. They played a great game and emerged as great victorious. The second match was between St. Patricks Academy, Manjapra vs Christ Vidyaniketan, Irinjalakuda, the commendable performance was won by the latter. The third match was played between Vijayagiri Public School vs Vishwajyoti Public School. The former won with a spectacular performance. The semi-final matches were played between the following teams: Vijayagiri Public School, Mala vs Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly. Christ Vidyaniketan, Irinjalakuda vs Vishwajyoti Public School Angamaly. Christ Vidyaniketan, Irinjalakuda vs Vijayagiri Public School, Mala. The final match was played between Vijayagiri Public School, Mala and Christ Vidyaniketan, Irinjalakuda. The crowning moment came for Vijayagiri as they bagged the Bosco Cup. M. Zain and Akhil turned out to be the best defenders. Sonal Roy of Christ Vidyaniketan, Irinjalakuda and Disto Danny of Don Bosco Central School, Angamaly were awarded the best players. All the winning teams along with their coaches and our fathers were photographed to capture the most jubilant moment of our Bosco Cup, 2024. The teams were congratulated by Fr. Joseph Elavanal and Fr. Jilson. The day came to a close with Fr. Joseph Elavanal exhorting the players to see this tournament as a fore runner of great sports event. He encouraged each & everyone to participate and learn to blossom as enlightened persons. The tail end of the note pinpointed to perceive failure as a stepping stone to success.
